How it Works: Sonny’s Rewards Check In
There are three ways to check in, and each one takes about five seconds.
- Give your phone number to a team member. Just share the number tied to your Sonny’s Rewards account when you order or pay.
- Show your QR code. Open the Sonny’s app, tap the Rewards section, and let a team member scan your code.
- Enter your phone number at the takeout window. Picking up? Punch in your number at the window and you’re set.
Ordering in the Sonny’s app or online while signed in? You’re already checked in. Your points are added automatically.
The golden rule: check in every visit. Points only count when you do.

Can I still scan my receipt for Sonny’s Rewards points?
Sorry, receipt scanning was turned off when check-in launched on September 14, 2026. Checking in during your visit is now the way to earn.
Do I need the Sonny’s app to check in?
Nope. Giving your phone number to a team member works just as well. The app just makes it faster with your QR code.
Where do I find my QR code in the Sonny’s app?
Open the app and tap the “Earn” section. Your code is right there, ready to scan.
Which phone number should I give?
Use the number tied to your Sonny’s Rewards account. If you’ve changed numbers, update it in the app so your points find you. Tap “More” in the bottom right corner, then choose “Account” from the sidebar.
Do online and app orders earn points?
Yes. If you’re signed in when you order in the Sonny’s app or online, you’re checked in automatically.
I ordered online without signing in. Can I still get my points?
Yes. Send us your receipt and we’ll add the points for you. See the steps below.
Do catering orders earn points?
Yes, but there is a maximum of 5000 points per transaction, equal to $500 spend. Fill out our Contact Form and we’ll get those points added for you.
How many points do I earn per visit?
You earn 10 points for every $1 you spend.
How long until my points show up?
Usually within an hour of your purchase.
I didn’t my points. / I redeemed a reward but I still spent money, however I didn’t get any points for it.
