Nominated by Corporal Tony Pribble, Beverly Marquis is the star behind the curtain for the Punta Gorda Police
Department. Beverly, referred to as “Bev” around the department, works internally to manage budgets, travel plans, vendors, payroll and everything in between. “Ask Bev” has become the department’s response to almost any question they have regarding operations. Fellow employees praise Bev’s caring presence and absolute dedication to the Department. She has organized dozens of internal and external events and has become the department’s person to lean on when they need help anything at all. However, one thing that Bev couldn’t plan was our Random Act of BBQ that the Punta Gorda Police and us here at Sonny’s surprised her with recently. The event was a huge success, giving the department time to show Bev how much they sincerely appreciate and love her, as many of her coworkers told us they never have enough time to truly thank her for all that she does.
