Fighting Child Hunger with Cereal for Summer
Summer is right around the corner and we’re thinkin’ about the families who heavily rely on the meals provided at school to keep their little ones’ bellies full.
1 in 4 children in the Tampa Bay area suffer from hunger. When the final bell rings and school’s out for summer, this problem becomes especially critical.
As the school year draws to a close, the Sonny’s BBQ locations in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties have teamed up with 10News WTSP and Feeding Tampa Bay to help feed struggling families during the long months of summer.
With the help from our loyal guests and Sonny’s community, we’ve donated over 3,100 cereal boxes to this smokin’ good cause. We’d like to give a special shout out to the men’s group at Palm Harbor United Methodists Church, also known as “The Wing Men”, for their generous contributions.
How you can help. One box of cereal at a time.
Stop by any local Publix to drop off your donation by May 19.
