In The Community

Whether it was one location in ’68, or 124 and counting today, Sonny’s has been, and always will be, a local BBQ joint. But being local isn’t just about where you’re located. It’s about where you’re rooted. And every Sonny’s location is deeply rooted in the communities we serve.

Sonny's joins fight to end childhood hunger.

On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013, Sonny’s Franchise Corporation kicked off its Dine-Out for No Kid Hungry Campaign by serving free BBQ in front of City Hall Plaza in Orlando, Florida. An appreciative and enthusiastic crowd gathered to enjoy the food and fund-raising festivities. Those who donated $2 toward the No Kid Hungry Campaign were given a $5 off coupon to use on their next visit to Sonny’s. We’re proud to say we raised $1,000 at the kickoff event and served over 500 people in just 2 hours. Orlando Mayor, Buddy Dyer, was in attendance and even helped serve BBQ to the masses for a bit. Good food and good times for a good cause? Doesn’t get better than that.
